Why didn't he shoot the hourglass, why did he continue to shoot at someone who proved that he can catch the bullets at point blank? The Painting clearly showed that it had some sort of power and significance, but then again there probably wouldn't be 4 episodes or maybe a bullet isn't enough to destroy it however it would help if he had tried.
